Gold medal for BeemsterLite Cheese

The World Championship Cheese Contest was held in Wisconsin from March 3-5. Beemster 30+ Oud was awarded first place in its category here. In addition, our Beemster 30+ Oud has also ended up in the overall top 20. This means that of all 3667 entries, the Beemster 30+ Oud is among the 20 best in the world. Quite an achievement! The Beemster Goat cheese also won prizes and took the bronze medal in its class.

The competition is the oldest and the most prestigious in the world. The highly critical and professional cheese inspectors assess thousands of cheeses every two years, paying particular attention to appearance, taste, structure, rind and color.
